Shea Baasch is a New York and Detroit based artist and photographer currently pursuing a BFA at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She specializes in portraiture, capturing those she encounters, as well as staged portraiture to create her own narratives derived from everyday life and media that she engages in. Her work explores themes of queerness, girl culture and youth culture as well as memory and nostaglia.
With a background in extensive dance training she also has choreographed two dance performance pieces, People Pleaser (2023), and Anything for you (2024) (co-choreographed with Sophie Ung).
